Sakrebyle Elephant Camp is a unique eco-tourism destination and elephant training camp located about 14 km from Shimoga on Shimoga–Thirthahalli Road. Managed by the Karnataka Forest Department in collaboration with Jungle Lodges & Resorts, it offers visitors an opportunity to observe and interact with captive elephants closely. Guests can watch elephants being bathed in the Tunga River, learn about elephant care from experienced mahouts, enjoy nature walks, birdwatching, herbal garden tours, and other forest-based activities. The site is especially popular for family outings and wildlife experiences.
